Fruit tree fertilizer

November 28, 2011

I fertilize my fruit trees with the following mixture according to my fruit tree fertilization schedule.

4 cups rock phosphate
4 cups dolomite lime  (I use lots of lime because I have acidic soil.  You might cut that in half in gumbo soil)
4 cups cottonseed meal
4 cups cornmeal
2 cups greensand
1 cup dry kelp
1 cup dry molasses
1 cup epsom salt
I sprinkle this mixture around the trees and wet it down with a spray of compost tea with one half ounce of  mycorrhizal fungi (mycogrow soluble from Fungi Perfecti) per five gallons.
